You know what that means, don’t you? I should be able to be totally trained and ready to run the entire 5k by July 26th! Perhaps even sooner. I think I will focus my efforts on the mileage for now and actually being able to run 3.1 miles. Once I can do that, I will see about increasing my speed. I mean, surely I can run the mile faster than 12 minutes! (Um and there just might be a small but very competitive part of me that wants to finish in the top of the pack….) Can you tell I’m more than a little amped about this?

Crazy stuff going on here! And the really amazing part is that I’m not sore or tired. I feel invigorated! ok, 3.1 miles is 9 & 1/2 times around my town track… that’s a REALLY LONG, FREAKING Way… so if your family says that’s not far… smack them, not yourself! That is so awesome that you can go 21 straight minutes RUNNING! I mean… you are making progress so fast… in just the few days I’ve been checking in on you! Thanks for commenting at my blog… I’ll definitely be your accountability! I’ll try to make sure I check in on you often, and I appreciate you doing that for me!
