Do you have a hard time getting in your suggested water intake each day? I know that a lot of people do but for some reason, I was blessed with a love of the stuff. I’m a drinker. As in, I must have at all times something to drink. For many many years it was iced white mochas (and I’m talking 32 oz. white mochas, yep they actually make ‘em!). But ever since I first got pregnant, I have been drinking water on a very regular basis. I thought I would give you a run-down of how I manage to drink approximately 96 ounces of the good stuff a day. Besides the obvious, chug-a-lug all day long, I start out with a water bottle and a goal. My water bottle is in the picture there (and yes there is more than one… it’s not the same one every day!). It’s a 32 oz. water bottle. And my goal? Drink at least three full bottles a day.
So I drink one bottle in the morning (sometimes two when it’s a running day). Then another in the early afternoon. And one more in the early evening. I try to stop before 8:00 pm because I don’t want to be going to the bathroom all night! So it’s really not a complicated thing and I find it’s much easier when I have one big bottle that I take with me everywhere and drink on all day. And wa-la! 96 ounces! (And so what if my husband teases the crap out of me for carrying around my humongous water bottle!! He’s just jealous!) What are your strategies for getting your water in? Okay, so if anybody was wondering what my water bottle looks like when my cat jumps on the counter in front of it, here you go!

I have trouble drinking water. I usually drink Crystal light or herbal tea now. Its just become a habit to drink all day long for me. I always have a bottle of something floating around no matter where I go. That way its easier to drink when its handy lol. Congrats on the 96oz!! *huggles*

I was just thinking that you and I connected when I gave my Try-It-With-Me Tuesday Challenge on Drinking more water. I needed this reminder. I have gone down in water and up in winter weight. Connection? Probably. Time for more water and more summer exercise!

You’re right TJ… it was your post on drinking water that I commented on. And I’m so glad I did! Felicia, I am the same way! Always have to have that drink handy wherever I go. I haven’t tried Crystal Light but I know several people that swear by it!

I love water too! I drank so much of it during and after my pregnancy and I am convinced it helped me control my weight gain during pregnancy and lose weight after. Maybe not, but that’s what I think. Post a comment
