Tag!This is my first meme tag!  Jojo tagged me last week.  I’m not sure what meme actually means so maybe someone could enlighten me?  Anyhoo, here are my answers!

Four jobs I’ve had:
1. Manager at Dairy Queen (accounts for at least 10% of the weight I need to lose!)
2. Camp Counselor
3. IT Assistant for a Law Firm in CA
4. Order Processor for a Photography Studio

What are four ways you know you are living your life’s purpose?
1. One of my life’s purposes is to be an awesome wife and mom and to strive to build a strong family.
2. To continually work on strengthening my relationship with God.  That’s where all my guidance and direction comes from.
3. To learn how to live a healthy life (mental, spiritual, physical, and emotional) and to give my daughter every opportunity to live a healthy lifestyle herself.
4. Learning how to just be.

What are four things you do to take really good care of yourself?
1. Eat as healthy as I can
2. Regular exercise, including challenging myself with 5k races
3. Prayer is essential to my self-care!
4. Drinking approximately 90 ounces of water a day

What are the four events that have most formed how you live your life today?
1. Facing a drug addiction and getting clean when I was 18
2. Definitely meeting my husband.  He is the best thing to ever happen to me.  (My dream come true!)
3. Having my beautiful daughter.  She challenges me and yet brings out the best in me in ways I could never have imagined before.
4. My aunt dying from bladder cancer and my stepdad dying in a plane crash within 6 months of each other.  My family was devastated and it changed us all in different ways.

What are four things you do to keep your motivation up to work out and eat healthy every day?
1. Blogging is a huge motivation.  I love “reporting” to everyone how I am doing and all the new things I learn as I go about my weight loss journey.
2. Challenging myself to new goals.  It works.
3. I remember that I am not only doing this for myself but for my family.  I want to be alive with them for as long as possible!
4. Imagining myself skinny and how it will feel.  I want it so bad!

Name four people who have been the most influential in motivating you to change your eating and exercise habits:
1. Hubby.  Years ago he had lost a ton of weight so he is very informed on what works and why.  He is a great source of information and motivation for me.
2. Honestly, myself.  I work really hard to keep myself motivated.
3. This chick from church.  She didn’t realize it but her kind words to me about my weight loss were very powerful.
4. Betsy from girl gone healthy.  Her positive attitude and optimism are infectious.

List four ways that blogging has helped you attain or maintain your goals:
1. Blogging definitely keeps me accountable for what I say.  I feel like I owe to the people who take the time to read my blog, to actually follow through with my actions and to be honest about where I’m at.
2. I have become a part of several communities that really inspire me.  In this way, blogging has helped me stay connected to people who have the same goals as me.
3. I have found that the blogging challenges are really cool.  They help keep me on track and focused on my goals.
4. Blogging has helped me decide to run a 5k race.  I don’t think I would have ever thought to try it if it hadn’t been for me being inspired by other bloggers!  Andrew, Workout Mommy, and Jojo being three that I can think of off the top of my head.

Who I’m tagging:

1. Girl Gone Healthy (Betsy)
2. Tippy Toe Diet (Cammy)
3. TJ Hirst
4. Weighting Line (Hope)

The Rules:

  • Link to the person who tagged you
  • Post the rules on your blog
  • Share four things in these themes (or replace them with your own “four things” questions)
  • Tag four random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs
  • Let each random person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their website.

Ok, I’ll do it - any time limit? By the way, I have no idea what meme means either. I must not be a true blogger.

Hey TJ! No time limit at all. I typed mine up and had it ready for a day that I knew I wouldn’t have time to blog. :) I can’t wait to read yours! I always enjoy your insight!

This is funny..I actually googled meme but the answer wasn’t in tune with what we’re actually doing. I have no exact def. but I imagine it’s like a “blog” chain letter…I don’t know.

I loved all your answers, feels like I got to know more of you too. I especially agree with the “learn to just be” part, I struggle with that. I applaud you getting over your drug addiction…that is really something

Yikes! I’ve been tagged! :)

Thanks for the open time limit. I’ll bookmark it and ponder my answers. I’ve got another meme to catch up on, too.

Meanwhile, I enjoyed reading your version of the meme! Blogging is a big help in maintaining focus!

Wow, I was just totally catching up on my blog reading… and BAM! Thanks so much, I’ve got tears!

:-) (Now I’ve got my first meme tag too!)
